|CHICAGO, IL (November 19, 2015) – On Thursday, November 12, nearly 3,300 attendees gathered at the LuxeHome Boutiques on the first floor of Chicago’s famed Merchandise Mart for the 9th annual CHILL Event, hosted in partnership with Wine Spectator Magazine. Guests sampled cuisine from over 50 of Chicago’s most coveted restaurants, and 150 delicious wines from around the world amidst the ambiance of LuxeHome, the world’s largest collection of premier boutiques for home building and renovation featuring over 35 distinct locations spanning over 125,000 square feet.
Throughout the evening of food and wine, LuxeHome’s CHILL Event raised over $200,000, which directly benefited three local charities—The Lynn Sage Foundation, Respiratory Health Association, and Saturday Place. In addition to ticket sales, each charity raised funds through silent auctions, raffles and donations.
While mingling over wine and small bites, guests were treated to the sounds of 15 musical groups provided by the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras, University of Chicago Laboratory Schools Jazz Ensembles, and Piano Trends Music & Band Company of Crystal Lake. Artistic entertainment included living “vines,” a skirted table lady and the infamous Wine Bike.
